Soneva will open a new luxury resort in Maldives : Soneva Secret. Announced by Sonu Shivdasani, the visionary co-founder of Soneva Resorts, Soneva Secret marks the brand’s third haven in the Maldives.
A new Dream is Coming : Soneva Secret
Named Soneva Secret, this forthcoming resort is designed to deliver a personalized luxury escape, with an estimated investment of a staggering US$40 million, the property is conceived as a tribute to nature’s beauty.
The villa constructions represent a significant investment, with an estimated cost exceeding $3 million.
Set to open in January 2024, Soneva Secret is located on the small Dhipparufushi island in one of the northernmost Atoll of Maldives : Haa Dhaalu Atoll. The resort is located amid a large lagoon where a new domestic airport should be soon developped, making transfers to the resort easier.
The resort will offer 14 villas in 6 categories, both perched overwater and nestled on the island’s shores. Some of them will be accessible only by boat. The Castaway Villa, a floating villa, will be movable to any location based on guest preferences.

Spread across two floors, the Crusoe Villa features a private pool surrounded by ample space for lounging, dining and taking in the uninterrupted ocean vistas.

The two-bedroom Beach Reserve is surrounded by tropical gardens with an array of dining and living areas, signature swimming pool and spacious terrace offering the ultimate in privacy.

The two-bedroom Crusoe Reserve offers incredible views in every direction, whether over the interrupted horizon, into the clear blue depths of the ocean, or up towards the sky.
Drawing inspiration from nature, the 14 villas showcase wooden textures and natural materials, reflecting the signature design ethos seen in other Soneva properties.
Each villa will feature a dedicated team of 3 assistants : a Barefoot Guardian for 24/7 butler service, a Barefoot Assistant and a dedicated chef.
Dining experiences include Out of This World, a castaway dining tower, observatory and wine cellar in the lagoon, reachable by zipline, a toes-in-the-sand firepit dining experience called So Primitive, and The Living Room, the island hub and casual dining and lounge venue, home to a library, a boutique and rooms dedicated to ice creams, chocolates, cheeses and charcuterie.

- Onboard of the yacht Soneva in Aqua during a full-day cruise from Soneva Fushi, Baa Atoll.
- By domestic flight in 55 mns from Malé International Airport to Kulhudhuffushi Airport, in Haa Dhaalu Atoll, followed by a one-hour speedboat ride to the resort.
