Cocogiri was already announced to open in December 2020. Obvisouly, the resort suffered delay due to the Covid. Many constructions stopped for several months in 2020.
Cocogiri, What We Know about the resort before its opening
Despite its opening date being now very soon, Cocogiri is due to open this coming March 01st, 2021, very few information and photos have been released about the resort. Let’s see what we know about the tiny island.
Located in the northern part of Vaavu Atoll, an atoll located in the central part of Maldives, the island is located at only 18 minutes by seaplane or 60 minutes by speed boat from Male International airport.
From the first information available, Cocogiri is a very small island that will offer a real sense of Maldivian Holidays and a small number of villas.
The resort first photos shows a beautiful house reef around the resort. Cocogiri aims to attract snorkelers and travelers looking for simplicity and a typical Maldivian holidays.
Cocogiri, the villas
The small boutique resort offers 20 water villas and 20 beach villas.
The Beach Villas
The Beach villas are designed with simplicity and are furnished with a rustic touch.
The Beach villas feature a bathroom with an indoor & outdoor shower with a separate bathtub.
Each beach villa has private veranda with sun loungers facing the beach.

The villa can accommodate up to 3 guests
The Water Villas
The Water villas are featured in 2 categories : the standard category, called Water Villa and an upper category called Pool Jacuzzi Water Villas which offer more space and a Jacuzzi on their deck.
The Water Villas are located right on the island beautiful house reef.
Offering more comfort than the Beach villas, they are designed with an authentic Maldivian finish and offer all a private deck with a net hammock.
Each Water Villa features a bathroom with a shower and separate bathtub with a window overlooking the ocean.
On the outside, guests can relax on their private deck with sun loungers and a net hammock.

The villa can accommodate up to 3 guests
The Pool Jacuzz Water Villas
The Pool jacuzzi Water Villas are Cocogiri most exclusive room option. Similar in design as the Water Villas, they offer an 9m pool jacuzzi, all the amenities of a water villa and more space on the deck.
Beach villa superficy : 62 sqm
The villa can accommodate up to 3 guests
Restaurants and BArs
Cocogiri features 1 restaurant located on the beach offering a range of international cuisine and 1 bar.
Spa, Wellness and Activities
Cocogiri is a tiny island with 40 villas only, so you will find the basic Maldives activities on the island. : a spa, a wellness centre and watersports.
