Dubai-based FAM Holding Group has announced the opening of Al Mahra Maldives Resort in 2025. The USD 218 million luxury resort will be located in Laamu Atoll.
The upcoming resort is named after Mahra, the 5-year-old daughter of FAM Holding’s chairman, Faisal Ali Mousa, and aims to reflect the elegance and strength associated with her name.
Al Mahra Maldives Resort, developed by FAM Holding Group in Dubai, is projected to open in 2025 in Laamu Atoll, southern Maldives.
It will be the third resort in the atoll after Six Senses Laamu and Rahaa Resort Maldives.
The luxurious $218 million project, built on Fonagaadhoo Island, will offer an array of 150 villas. This includes 100 water villas, each with a private pool, with some featuring water slides, 40 beach villas and 10 exclusive VIP units.
Designed to provide an elite escape, Al Mahra Maldives will also feature a selection of fine dining options across three restaurants, a full-service spa, a gym, and an expansive water sports center, delivering a holistic luxury experience tailored to discerning travelers.
Al Mahra Maldives Resort will use eco-friendly practices, including solar power and an innovative desalination process to minimize environmental impact.
This Maldives property will join the Al Mahra brand’s global expansion, following the success of its sister resort in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The Al company continues to build a reputation for luxury and sustainability, targeting travelers who value both exclusivity and eco-conscious design.
