Resort location : Southern Maldives in Gaafu Alifu, the Northern district of the largest atoll of Maldives, Huvadhoo Atoll ,close to the Equator. The Resort is reachable after at 55 minute domestic flight to Kaadedhdhoo Domestic Airport, (with Maldivian – the national airline company- from Male) followed by 15 minute speedboat ride, or by private seaplane directly from Male, at app. 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Very awaited and finally officially open in May 2011, the first Maldives property from the Dubai based Jumeirah, Jumeirah Dhevanafushi Resort is one of the newest and already one of the most wanted top Luxury Resort of Maldives .
Literally meaning “Unique Island” in Dhivehi, the Resort has indeed a unique location and is set over two islands :
On the left, the main Island, Meradhoo, hosts to all main resort facilities and entertainment as well as to the 22 very luxurious (up to 600m2!) and spacious Beach and Island Suites.
On the right, at 800 meters away, in the middle of the Ocean on the top of a marine cliff, stand 16 amazing Water Villas called the “Ocean Pearls” and only accessible by speedboat.
Last week, we have had the chance to discover this new and fabulous Resort and wanted to share with you this aerial view as a starter.
