The news is fresh.
The ultra-luxury resort and spa company Six Senses Resorts & Spa, has just been acquired by Pegasus Capital Advisors L.P., a US-based private equity fund manager.
Pegasus will acquire all of the Six Senses and Evason branded resort and spa management contracts and related intellectual property rights and operate them under a new company managed by Pegasus and its affiliates.
The transaction is expected to close within the next three months.
Six Senses Resorts and Spa manages 10 resorts and 28 spas in 20 countries around the world, with another 15 under construction or development, including China and Vietnam and of course one of our favorite Maldives Resort, Six Senses Laamu.
Are not included in the transaction, Soneva’s Resorts and Spas which will remain Sonu Shivdasani and his wife Eva, own properties. Soneva Gili, Soneva Fushi in Maldives and Soneva Kiri in Thailand will stay their main and only focus.
